this week's stovetop: themed cooking

J has been asking me for quite a while post something new to keep this blog semi-active.  I promise, life has been wonderful and interesting, just not blog-inspiring!

Since J asked nicely, here's two themed dishes I've made in the last month:

a peanut butter cake (made with a variant on this recipe) inspired by my summer lab's transmon qubit tunnel junction lithography (I'm mimicking the last picture on the page--the spokes are just for the extra chocolate)

vegetable soup with heart-shaped dumplings in celebration of four years with my favorite Yalie
