The last few weeks have been full of desk work. As those of you I've been spoken with recently know, I've been struggling with separation from my lasers, but I'm glad we're writing up our recent experiments. After all, publications are currency in the academic world I inhabit.

Spending more time in the office means the time I took earlier this semester to make it my own has paid off. It feels comfortable to work here, surrounded by pictures of friends and family and beautiful places in this world. The singing duck that "loves laser" and my favorite princess mug are a bonus.
